A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF THE CDI
For seven consecutive days, I photographed life inside the Centro Deportivo Israelita in Mexico City, from the first hours of Monday morning until the gates closed on Sunday evening. Created in 2000 to commemorate the CDI's 50th anniversary, the project was inspired by the A Day in the Life... series
The CDI is far more than a sports complex. For generations, it has been a central institution in Jewish communal life in Mexico, bringing together people of every age through sports, culture, education, social life, and community. Like a small city, its character changes from hour to hour and from one day to the next.
Presented in strict chronological order, these photographs invite the viewer to experience one complete week as it unfolded, one moment at a time.
